The red measuring cups and spoons you see above are standard American measurement from IKEA. I use the cups for both Indian cooking and baking while I use the spoons only for baking which requires precise measurement. They are convenient to store requiring less storage space and have the measurements embossed on the handles. American Measurements: 1 cup – 240 ml 1/2 cup – 120 ml 1/3 cup – 80 ml 1/4 cup – 60 ml 1 tbsp – 15 ml 1 tsp – 5 ml Are you like me where you eyeball the amount of spices/ingredients that go into your cooking?
