Why These Cranberry Brussels Sprouts Are The Perfect Thanksgiving Side Dish

Get ready for one of the most flavorful, satisfying and simple side dishes you could possibly make this holiday season. These Cranberry Brussels Sprouts have got to be my most unique and delicious holiday recipe yet. Not only is this dish super tasty, but it takes very little effort to whip up. It takes just over 20 minutes to make this recipe from start to finish, making it one of the fastest cooked holiday dishes out there, which is perfect since you’ll probably be busy out of your mind with other holiday chores and such. This Cranberry Brussels Sprouts recipe is the perfect dish for those get-togethers where you’re unsure of what everyone else is going to bring. You know somebody is going to bring the staples like mash potatoes, green bean casserole, and stuffing. But it’s incredibly unlikely (dare I say impossible) that they’ll bring this dish to the table, and everybody is going to be thanking you that you did. It truly is a wonderful breath of fresh air when it comes to holiday dishes, with its delightfully sweet tang, wonderful earthiness and just the right amount of heat. I decided to garnish the finished Cranberry Brussels Sprouts with some toasted walnuts, and it adds a great nuttiness and texture to the dish.

What is the texture of these Instant Pot Brussel Sprouts?

Okay, when I posted that I was steaming Brussel Sprouts, I got a lot of very strong reactions from my Twosleevers Facebook group! Many people felt that the only civilized way to cook Brussel sprouts was to fry them to a crisp. Other Brussel sprouts lovers said they were perfect when steamed, as the steaming made them tender and like little cabbages. So these are most certainly not fried-crisp. But if you like your Brussel sprouts with a little bite in them, you may want to reduce cook time to 2 minutes and release pressure immediately.

Can you really make Brussel Sprouts in the Instant pot?

Well, let me tell you ALL OF THE WAYS TO NOT make them in The instant Pot, as I have discovered them all during testing this recipe!
