I feel silly even calling this a recipe because it is, as the title suggests, the easiest appetizer. If you’re entertaining this summer, let this recipe take some work off your hands. For the bread, I used both a whole wheat baguette and a simple white baguette. Having both whole wheat and white varieties gave guests more options to try. If you have any leftover bread, you can use it to make mini french toast. My #1 tip? Toast the bread slices! This not only gives them a pleasant crunch, but allows the goat cheese to spread on easier since the bread is warm. Use a creamy goat cheese. Mix the goat cheese with a little honey, which adds flavor and makes it a little easier to spread. Crunchy, tangy, and sweet. The honey is KEY to its flavor!
