No Bake Chocolate Fudge Oat Bars

I originally published this recipe in 2012 and have since added new photos and easier-to-understand instructions. After making these no-bake bars for the 100th time, I decided it was time to revamp this post. While so much has changed in the last decade, the recipe for these incredibly irresistible bars has stood the test of time. Made from pantry staples like oats, coconut oil, peanut butter, maple syrup, and chocolate chips, and textured with crisp rice cereal, crunchy nuts, and chewy plump raisins… I swear there must be some Willy Wonka magic in these bars to turn such simple ingredients into something that tastes like a candy bar....

Pad Thai

I nearly always order Pad Thai when we go to a Thai restaurant. I love those tangy noodles and big prawns, and being someone who LOVES toppings, a Pad Thai is probably the most toppings-heavy item on the menu. We’re usually talking crushed peanuts, fresh coriander, wedges of lime, fresh chillies and maybe a sprinkling of dried chillies too. Just give me all the toppings. What is Pad Thai? Originating from Thailand, Pad thai (also called phad thai), is a popular street food dish of stir-fried flat rice noodles....

(Honestly, it was pretty perfect before, but these small changes are extraordinary.) I added baking soda to help lift the crumb a bit more, and swapped milk for sour cream to introduce tender moisture....

This is the kind of comfort food that everyone loves on a cold autumn evening. I’m already planning on making it again for Bonfire night! Easy to prepare, tastes amazing, and doesn’t take anywhere near as long to make as a regular casserole. Saut Ed Asparagus And Peas

Asparagus and peas prove the old adage: what grows together, goes together. This is the perfect side dish for spring! There’s a useful adage: what grows together goes together. In other words, if fruits and vegetables grow in the same season and region, they’ll taste great together. Think tomatoes and basil, strawberries and rhubarb, bananas and coconut and — in this case — asparagus and peas. Plus, I always think combining vegetables in a side dish dresses them up and makes them so much more interesting....

Scalloped Potatoes With Ham

Or if you don’t want to serve up these scalloped potatoes as a side dish, make it the main event with a few little additions. I’m using chunks of leftover baked ham, buttery fried onions and 3 different cheeses. It’s carblicious, ultra cream and cheesy, and probably a million calories (I’ll work it out and include in the recipe card), but who cares when it tastes this good? We start by frying up slices of onion in a pan (1) with butter, garlic, salt, pepper and a little garlic salt....
