After we published this chai spice cinnamon swirl Bundt cake, readers requested a cookie variation using the same robust flavors. Tell Me About these White Chocolate Chai Snickerdoodles Texture: These chai snickerdoodles are extra soft, which is a lovely contrast to the chunks of white chocolate morsels throughout. The edges are awesomely chewy, the tops are crackly, and the centers are very buttery. Flavor: Snickerdoodles have that nostalgic cinnamon-sugar flavor with hints of vanilla....
This recipe started as a full cheesecake that went horribly wrong. I’m chalking it up to poor decisions in the recipe creation process, but it (1) was too thick (2) overflowed and (3) burned around the edges (from the sugar in the white chocolate I believe?). It tasted fine, but I knew I could do better especially since this classic cheesecake recipe is top-notch. I didn’t really have an occasion for a full cheesecake coming up, nor did I want to waste another 2 lbs of cream cheese and raspberries, so I tossed the whole idea and opted for white chocolate raspberry cheesecake bars instead....

[feast_advanced_jump_to] Grab yourself a large glass of water (ok, beer) because these noodles are waaaarm! I may have mentioned once or twice that I love spicy food – especially Malaysian, Indonesian, Singapore and Thai cuisine. Sweet, spicy, hot and sour – just make me something with those flavours – in pretty much any form – and I’ll eat it. This Mee Siam is based on the Malaysian version – which is a hot and spicy dry noodle dish....

Its sad and unfortunate that the trend in many of our Indian homes (both lower income and higher income groups) today is offering aerated drinks during birthday parties, get-togethers and weddings. With aggressive advertising by MNC’s, the illiterate lot have begun to believe that colas are healthy. Visit any village, town or city across the Indian sub-continent and you can hardly find a tender coconut or sugarcane juice vendor who have since been replaced with pan shops carrying billboards of Pepsi and Coco Cola and crates of aerated drinks....
However, there are other things that I’ve actually planned out , like my thanksgiving menu. This year, along with my favorite kitchen cookware company, Le Creuset, I’ve created a couple of special savory dishes for the holiday using their Heritage bakeware collection. These dishesare easy and can be prepared in advance to save time. You can refrigerate the dishes ahead of time by wrapping them up airtight with cling film and foil and then reheat them in the oven just before serving....
Friends, please welcome Shaheen. 🙂 ~Sailaja When I was first asked to write a guest post on a traditional meal from Malabar Cuisine, I was excited and immediately the words and the memories tripped over one another in a hurry to get out of my mind. Ah.. I started salivating thinking of Calicut…the Arabian sea front…and the food..yes, its something to write about.. the endless array of items for breakfast, the fish meals for lunch, the layered chappathis called madikki pathiri– beef curry for dinner, the biryanis, the ghee rice …....

This coriander based ginger chutney is one classic pachadi I keep returning to very frequently much to the annoyance of Satish who usually enjoys a wide variety of chutneys each week with idlis and dosas. Not that he doesn’t enjoy this chutney, its just that he feels that I make it pretty often.:) Obviously I will. You see, the coriander season is coming to an end here when there will be a shortage of fresh coriander and even if its available (quite rare) the price shoots up even for a small bunch....
These crumb-topped apple muffins have been a personal and reader favorite since I published the recipe in 2014. When you crave a big slice of apple pie for breakfast, these apple-studded muffins fill the gap 🙂 Tell Me About These Apple Cinnamon Muffins Flavor: These are buttery muffins where apple and cinnamon flavors take over. It’s always disappointing when you bite into a muffin and there’s hardly any “stuff” like blueberries, chocolate chips, etc....

The idea of stuffing vegetables isn’t new, but it’s a practice I cherish. Defined by the size and dynamics of vegetable architecture, you could potentially stuff anything: aubergines, tomatoes, peppers, chillies, okra … the list goes on. This week, onions are filled like little pots with lentils, spices and vegetable stock scented with bright, gorgeous saffron. The onions transform into little gifts. Get the full recipe in my column at The Guardian....
Super quick and easy to mix up, plus you can make it ahead and refrigerate for a couple of hours. With this, you can fry anything your heart desires! In our local area, they sell battered chips, AND battered Mars bars (Nope. Not for me, thanks.)! I am partial to making the pub classics at home: fish and chips, onion rings, and fried pickles are AMAZING! Beer – (see below)...
